Lime Assistive Technology Ltd

From the top of the image. Two rows of five green rounded squares, each shaded from dark green on the left, to a paler green to the right of each rounded square. They are followed by a row of one slightly rectangular shape with the same shading and colours, a long rectangular shape then the same slightly rectangular block again so to form an impression of a keyboard. Beneath that in a large font and in capital letters is the word lime. On the next line (bottom of image) is the word technology and ltd, the abbreviation of limited. This row has smaller text. End of description.

Watch Alinea for Windows’ PDF application  in action!

For Windows 10 users, Alinea for Windows is a unique reading environment that offers access to any PDF document via text-to-speech (TTS). Listening to text can often improve our understanding of what is being read.

Other great features include a dictionary that gives definitions by right-clicking on a word. Just like anybody using pen and paper, you can highlight and underline words, and even add notes or little doodles to the margins, then hear them read aloud!

The Alinea Suite PDF application has it’s own text-to-speech voices, but also detects SAPI 5 voices that have been installed in Windows. Whilst Lexima and Lime Assistive Technology Ltd take no responsibility for a compatibility issue between Alinea Suite’s PDF reading application, word prediction application, and the dictionary application, we do not recommend the use of additional SAPI 5 voices with the Alinea Suite text reading application that reads aloud text in other applications such as Microsoft Word.

Please note: Neither Lexima or Lime Assistive Technology Ltd accept responsibility for any future compatibility issues between Alinea Suite’s Windows applications and any SAPI 5 voices not supplied by Lexima.
